Rabbits can escape if not properly housed. Do not let your rabbit have free run of your house, as he or she can easily disappear. Your rabbit can be housed either indoors or outdoors, although they do best when kept at temperatures below 80 degrees Fahrenheit. If you have other pets that may harm your rabbit, keep them in a separate area of room in your home.
Many pet stores offer rabbit caging made from wire. Make sure your rabbit cannot escape from its cage.
There is a variety of bedding material for your rabbit that can be found at most pet stores today. Change your rabbit’s bedding often to prevent bacterial overgrowth from urine and/or feces. This will keep him/her healthier.
Here are some examples of acceptable bedding for your rabbit.
